This is off-topic, but I forgot to tell my aunt that the apple cake she brought to the family reunion was AMAZING.
Peripherally, this is garden-ish as we talked about the apple trees we each recently planted.

- I garden organically in Northern California, zone 9, Sunset zone 14/15 (depending on what mood San Pablo Bay is in). The front garden is planted with mostly drought-tolerant plants, many of them California natives, to provide nectar, seeds, and urban habitat for wildlife. No lawn.

I am very glad you liked it and seeing you was a treat too....
My apple tree has grown 5" since we planted it. Had a wonderful vist with the sister's all seems well there. Keep posting I will keep watching what you are up to.
